Delhi Diner - Albany

Very pretty restaurant; service is friendly and personal. The food itself is excellent and offered in 4 different degrees of spiciness. There are many items not generally found in Indian restaurants. There is no tipping as there is a service charge included. Quiet enough for conversation.

I've been really loving this place for a couple years. Mostly we get take-out from here, but when we do visit it is always great. The Tandoori Lamb Rib Chops are my favorite item on the menu. They have an Indian viognier that I really like.

Everything we ordered was first rate. The restaurant was very pleasant and roomy. Service was good although sometimes disoriented as different servers were waiting on us. They need to change their name since this is not a diner but a full fledged restaurant.

Hospitality and service at this warm, attractively decorated restaurant, is excellent! It's not fair for me to review their food. I don't like Indian cuisine. Having said that, the chicken curry was decent as was the onion naan. Another dish, with requested medium spicy seemed way to hot; but I'm not a good judge. Soups were okay, though nothing special.

Delhi Diner has been my restaurant find for 2015. It has become one of my favorites, and our family of 5 foodies chose it for our Christmas eve dinner. We were delighted. The food was superb as usual, and the service was excellent. We had a mix of omnivores and pescatarians and we all loved the food we received.
