Perbacco Show Cooking - ALASSIO

We came to stop at Perbacco after hours of biking in the hot sun. My companion had eaten a bit earlier but we were both dreadfully dehydrated. We asked for tap water and were told the only option was a 1,50€ tiny glass bottle of sparkling or still water. That should have been a clue. Not wishing to spend 15€ just to rehydrate, my partner found the restroom tap palatable and we drank three liters from our own bottles during our meal (I felt a bit odd to be forced into this as it’s only water and a single flush of the loo wastes more than our weary bodies required). I ordered the four cheese pizza, expecting rich and varied flavor as I’d been searching for 4-cheese gnocchi that I know and love. The pizza arrived fast, the dough was good but the cheese was second rate with nothing special about the sauce either — mozzarella was cheap and rubbery for goodness sake. I had far more flavorful pizza at a breakfast cafe just the day before. It also had some items which did not appear to belong on the pizza I ordered but perhaps on another. The waitress was nice enough, though when the bill came we were treated to a shocking 37.5% price increase. The reason? Paper table placemats. 1,50€ per person for a piece of paper with their name on it to sit our plates upon. If I hadn’t been so tired I would have protested or simply paid in cash for the items we were given per the menu. Instead I chalked it up to a charge for water and went off on our way. I’m writing this as I ease myself back to sleep with considerable stomach pain. There are dozens of places to eat in Alassio. Do yourself a favor and pick anything else.

Servizio eccellente, atmosfera accogliente. L'aperitivo è superbo, il tagliere è spettacolare. La frittura è ottima, ricca e abbondante.

Buon cibo, hamburger ordinato con patate al forno. le patatine erano fritte e alle mie domande sul perché non erano quelle richieste che mi è stato detto che non li stavano facendo più e il menu doveva essere aggiornato. Ho visto le patate nel forno poco dopo un altro tavolo. E' ridicolo.

Piacevole locale e aperitivo lontano dagli standard milanesi ma ancora soddisfacente. il conio persinale e corretto.
