Barceluna Cafe - Alameda

Ate here on a Saturday night. It was fairly empty inside, but there was a wait because there's not a lot of seating. I didn't have anything to drink, but other people who did complained that the drinks were not well mixed. The table got the Mac and cheese appetizer with bacon. This was actually really good. I would definitely order it again. For dinner, I got the Kobe burger and fries. The fries were really good...crispy and good flavor. The burger was just okay. I like a well done burger, but it's so hard for most places to do that without burning it, I have to order it medium well. That way, when they overcook it, it's still edible. My strategy paid off this time because I definitely got a well done burger. It was also on the small side. About the diameter of a jr. bacon cheeseburger from Wendy's. Slightly thicker but about the same size. Not worth the $19 price tag in my opinion. I'd say closer to $14. Service was on the slow side for how few people were in there. All in all, the place wasn't bad, but it was overpriced and just okay taste-wise. This wouldn't be my first choice for dinner (or second, or third, or 50th), so if I found myself here again, it would be from someone else's choice...after I strongly suggested finding somewhere else to go.

One of my favorite spots to come for a GOOD drink! The old fashioned never disappoints and the staff here is amazing! Tip: Add bacon to your mac n cheese and go for the truffle fries!

Girlfriend took me here for my birthday. Great steak, excellent whisky (Lagavulin 16), and the best pork chop she had ever had. Good times.

First time coming to this spot. It was in the raffle of the random selections of our Friday night dinner. SO HAPPY! The meatloaf was fire, with a crispy edge to resemble a loaf of bread (brilliant) and the carrots and mashed potatoes. Mmm! But... to top it all off was my server, Lauralee. Not only was she sweet but she was honest. She anticipated my needs and was consistent in checking up on me. Her recommendations were on point. That bread pudding, y'all! The entire staff was great. I did not catch his name but the food runner was very friendly in making conversation. Thank you staff of AO. We WILL be back.

I found this place on Yelp. I thought it was so cute I'd give it a chance. When I got there I ordered the flat iron steak ,spinach and grits! When I ordered my drink It was from a photo I saw on their Yelp page but I was told that it was seasonal for the restaurant but, they still were able to make it minus a few garnishes. Everything was delicious I'll definitely be back !
