While it was very slow and quiet in the beginning, bussiness picked up and all of a sudden there was a vibe! This place is great for anyone looking for a quiet and romantic space, or simply hanging out and mingling ..... either way .... good wine and good vibe... Ps: Owner stayed after hrs. To serve us ;

Not sure why this place is marked as 'closed ' on Yelp. It is still very much open, and still an excellent place to visit. We love going to Karen 's and have been regulars for years. Always excellent service, wine, food, and atmosphere.

This is place is not closed. My partner , Andrea, and I were just there for a couple of glasses of wine and I can assure you it was very much open and serving.

Update in response to the owner: Being open on Christmas Eve and being a female business owner in no way excuses you from racial profiling. That man was not intoxicated and he handled your racist actions with grace. You 're right; I don 't use yelp often. I felt the need to write this review to speak out against what I believe to be awful behavior. I actually work full time in diversity and inclusion for Facebook and dedicate a lot of my time to thinking about creating social change, however small. And despite your snarky comments about meditating, I 'm going to dedicate my loving kindness meditation to you tonight. If I could rate this establishment a zero I would. On Christmas Eve I witnessed the woman who runs this bar blatantly discriminate against a man based on his skin color, by asking him to pay upfront for a glass of wine with a credit card because, as she stated, she 'd gotten ripped off by a black man earlier tonight. When I confronted her about it, she said that he looked like he didn 't belong here. Her shameful, racial discrimination shouldn 't be tolerated or supported by this community.

I had a great experience here. The bartender/owner of the bar is so knowledgeable. I loved all her recommendations. I visited here with my partner and he also enjoyed the wine selection and the service. We definitely plan on coming back.
