Shogun Japanese Steakhouse - Akron

I really enjoy coming to this restaurant. It can be busy, or slow and the food quality remains the same. It holds its own against similar restaurants in the area. I prefer the sushi over the hibachi, but either is good.

Excellent meal! Food was well cooked, well seasoned and the portions were VERY generous! Girlfriend and I really enjoyed it.The steak, though cooked exactly to order, was a bit chewy. Overall though, highly recommend it ?

I rarely leave bad reviews.. but the food here is horrible, no taste, everything was burnt but the noodles, no taste whatsoever.. the chef could care less that we were here, the food was cooked and distributed as fast as possible.. I seen other reviews about the no taste.. thought it's just a bad day. They are right.! Stay far away from this place!

Went with 7 friends and had a blast. We met about 6 and there was nobody else there. The hostess commanded our attention and explained what we needed to know. Our cook was very skilled and entertaining. I wasn't thinking and only got one picture. I hope we all decide to go back soon.

Tonight after dining, I was chased down in the parking lot by the waitress demanding to know why I didn’t leave a tip on the tip line of my check. Imagine her surprise when I not very politely told her that I had left cash on the table. While I understand the importance of tipping, it was very rude and unnecessary for her to run out to the parking lot and make a scene. I am appalled!
