El Malecon Mexican Grill - Akron

This is the best authentic Mexican food truck in the area! It's clean, and the service is always quick, friendly, and fresh. A true gem in North Hill, make sure to stop by for lunch or dinner on Taco Tuesday so they can continue to thrive. The portion sizes are great and the prices are very reasonable!

Let me tell you about the birria tacos! I've only tried them once before at another place and wasn't really impressed with the quality. However, I kept hearing about how amazing birria tacos are, so I thought maybe my previous experience was due to that particular restaurant not making them right. Today, I decided to give them another shot at El Malecon Mexican Grill, and I’m so glad I did! I don't think I’ll ever want to eat anything else besides birria tacos again. They are absolutely delicious—words can't even describe how good they are! I highly recommend you RUN, don't walk, to get some of these (just a heads up, birria is available only two days a week, and Wednesday is one of them). Plus, you get all of this for just $12! You truly can't beat great food at such an affordable price.

I absolutely adore the fish tacos! I've brought my friends and family here, and they all love it too! The food is consistently served piping hot and delicious! The service is fantastic as well!

So I was cravings for some Latino food and I found this place...?????? definitely a Hidden Gem of Akron!! I feel like I'm back in Painesville or as I call it Little Mexico. The food is fantastic the tacos are made exactly how you would think very authentic and very satisfying. I am definitely going back over and over again... the girl that works there that took my order she made me feel inviting and comfortable like we knew each other. I give this place six stars if I could I love finding small Latino cuisines that make you crave for more!!????????

This place is amazing. The service is great. The food is sooo good. And the truck was very easy to find. I ordered the chicken street tacos and everything was great!
