The Lamp Post - Akron

The Lamp Post was a perfect stop only 2 minutes off the freeway. We were pleasantly surprised at this local gem. Upon entering this clean vintage restaurant, the ambiance takes you back to a different era with an old school diner flare! Tiffany our server far exceeded our expectations and remembered our orders without a paper or pen. She had the best fun, witty, upbeat personality! The food was excellent and the portions were extra large with a minimal price tag! Being from California and traveling through we will probably not be back, but if we lived in the area this would be our breakfast go to! This is a must stop, if in the area! I even had the pleasure of taking a picture with the owner of San Marino Italian Restaurant. He was funny and very kind! [hidden link]

Was in the area for powerline storm restoration. Ate here every morning really enjoyed it!

I liked this place. It's nice that it's open 24 hours. I wish the parking lot was more brightly lit. Our waitress was great and the food was pretty good. I had the loaded french fries and they were good but I've had better. The inside is nothing fancy but it was still clean and comfortable. I would probably go back mostly because it's about the only thing open late at night.

The woman taking orders was fun and quick, drinks stayed full, the kitchen was quick and the food was huge and absolutely delicious ?

Doesn't get much better than this local diner. The breakfast is always amazing and hits the spot everytime.. the staff is friendly and they talk to their regulars as if they are family.
