Akhmeta Wine House

Amazing experience and stories. On the way from Stepantsminda to Telavi, we had a small car breakdown and, without knowing it, we parked near the Wine House. I needed to keep my friends busy for an hour and I asked the owners of the winery to arrange a tasting for the girls. As a result, we ended up in a stunningly atmospheric place with very tasty wine. The hosts brought us some snacks, wine and told us a little about the production. We quickly fixed the breakdown in the car, and our friends were very pleased with the visit to the winery.

Great place, great people, great wine! If you are looking for something authentic and made with love this is the right place. We came here as a company (4 adults and 3 kids) and it was interesting for everyone. We listened to Nicolas explaining the traditional Georgian winemaking process, watched how the wine was bottled and kids actually tried corking a bottle. Very warm atmosphere. Very memorable experience. And great wine!
