Best restaurant in Ajijic.
After an an absence of some months we revisited our local restaurant. We were greeted by the owner Chavo as if we had never left. He guided us to "our table". The setting is very charming outside with anthuriums in full bloom. We ordered his special of the day which was cream of corn soup and garlic prawns, served with rice and vegetables. Both were freshly prepared and delicious - no microwaved food here.Usually ample parking available on the street, no credit cards and closed on Wednesday and Thursday.AivarsT
This is the essence of Mexico. Authentic, quality Mexican cuisine. Tio Domingo is located off the beaten track. #204 Ocampo, West Ajijic. Salvador has been around a VERY long time and takes a lot of pride in the food he serves and has a special place in his heart for his customers that support him and his restaurant. The Margaritas are Fabulous! We the locals, LOVE this place for its authenticity & personal service. The food is reasonably priced, as is the drinks. I personally love the Chili en Nogada! (My Fav) and then there is THAT desert! Omg. Bananas, (Pantines?) fried in something sweet and on fire! Lol! Can't remember the name. Senior moment. Must go!
