Lavarenne Bakery Patissier

The baguettes here are outstanding, especially the Banon. Not the best pastries, but definitely come here for the bread. They get very busy and are a little impatient if you don't know what you want.

We had a couple of quiches first. Good filling and textures, maybe lacking a tiny bit of salt for perfection. Then we shared an opera cake. Simply amazing, fantastic combination of flavors and textures. Definitely worth a visit to try it if you are passing by Aix en Provence.

I went here almost every day for bread and treats. It's a chain and the food is pretty good. You will find other bakeries that specialize in various baked goods that have a following. Basically it is up to you to discover this but this place is great in a pinch and open 24 hours. So when you are stumbling home late you can pick up a snack. Now that's a treat! Pastries are on the expensive side but I didn't compare this to other places.

What can I say other than this place is awesomely delicious. Such sweet service by all staff. And their pastries do not do this place justice. Must get anything they make with Nutella in it or on top of it. Meringues are too die for!! Highly recommend this hidden gem of a patisserie.

This bakery has the merit of being open 24 hours a day. After that, I find the products medium and a little expensive.
