Cafe du Palais - Aix-en-Provence

Fantastic location at the Place des Prêcheurs in Aix-en-Provence with its local market. The service and the food were all right. Pretty expensive, but I think that's because of the situation.

Very average cafe, with basic food that is also nothing special or delicious. You. An definitely find a better pasta for lunch in Aix then in this cafe... plus staff don't speak any English, so when I've ordered salmon pasta and they run out of salmon they spoke to me in French and even though I've asked for carbonara instead (difficult not to understand as the dish name is international) they brought me pasta with pesto...Also the area is very noisy due to some road works and you don't have any pretty views... and just to conclude, waiters are very slow... it took us 15 minutes to ask somebody for a bill and extra 10 minutes to pay... avoid. There are so many better places to eat in the same price range.
