Woodside Golf Course Dining - Airdrie

It was a great day - blue skies, no wind, golf course views and some very good lunch menu choices. Being outdoors and enjoying the first part of August was great. the food, service and the clubhouse vibe was excellent. Have to go back....I understand that they have excellent burgers.

As the weather was not that bad, we decided to go to a patio and instead of going to the usual places, we decided to go to Woodside. The service is absolutely shocking and we never even bought food

Played nine holes of golf and went for dinner on Burger Night. The place was not crowded as early April. We did have to wait a little longer then one would expect under the circumstances. The kettle chips were good. The burger itself as okay but very bizarre. It was advertised as a paddy between two grilled cheese sandwiches. I had thought that was for effect but when it came out, it was literally 2 X 2 slices of white bread with cheese and a paddy in the middle. It was a little dry and after I felt bloated. I was told by the waitress this was a common reaction. It is a little hard to be critical when you get something as advertised but I believed it was just extra cheese and not the weird combination it turned out to be. It was on "special" but the price did not feel that way.

We recently moved into the area and have been looking for a new brunch place. I think we're still looking.I think the price is quite steep for what you get. I've been to brunches elsewhere that had twice as much food, and the cost was less. The food wasn't anything special and some things, like the Mac & Cheese, tasted like it had been cooked in dirty dish water, strained through a sock. All in all, average. We aren't likely to return.

I've been meaning to try this restaurant and I wish I'd tried it sooner. Menu is great! I had the baby back ribs....fall of the bone tender and great home made bbq sauce. Their in-house lager is really good and so is their in-house made cheesecake. You really need to go here!
