Big T's Bbq Smokehouse - Airdrie

I have eaten at Big T about four times, and all of my experiences have been really good. This time, we ordered ribs, but the meat was quite tough. However, the meat and sausage were excellent!

When I first walked in, it was just me at the counter, and there was no line. An Asian woman approached me and asked if I was there for a pickup. I informed her that I wanted to place a to-go order, but she simply nodded and returned to her work without saying anything further. I waited for at least 10 minutes before a gentleman came in and helped me with my order. This did irritate me a bit, especially since it wasn't busy at the time. I mentioned that it was my first time here and I wanted to sample a bit of everything for myself and my wife. He recommended the Priscilla platter for two, which sounded great. I inquired about the type of wood used for smoking the meats, but he was uncertain and couldn't provide an answer. While this may not matter to everyone, it is important to me in a BBQ restaurant, and I believe this information should be shared with the staff. On the positive side, the gentleman was very friendly and provided me with helpful information about the different BBQ sauces and his recommendations. He even told me how much brisket was included with the platter, which is important since it only notes 150 grams. When I got home and opened everything up, I have to say I enjoyed all the meats and sauces, as well as the coleslaw, beans, and cornbread. There was definitely enough food for both my wife and me. My only complaint about the food was that the ribs were a bit tough, though they were flavorful and had a nice crust. Overall, I rated this place 4 stars due to the slow ordering, the tough ribs, and the inability to answer certain questions. Despite this, I would recommend dining here based on my experience.

Delicious! My wife and I sampled a variety of dishes (but not everything, so we’ll definitely be back). I apologize for only one picture; it smelled so good that we dove right in! We tried the brisket, which was juicy and flavorful—though not the absolute best I’ve ever had, it’s definitely something I would order again (next time I want to try it in a sandwich). The chicken was a bit dry, but still tasty; however, it wouldn’t be our top choice to reorder. We’re looking forward to enjoying the leftovers over rice! The rib end was sweet and smoky—yes, please! The pulled pork was amazing; I’m definitely going to bring a Rubbermaid container next time for you to fill! This was by far our favorite meat selection, and I'd be remiss not to reorder it on future visits. The cornbread wasn’t our favorite, but we’re excited to try the hush puppies next time! The staff were friendly and attentive, taking the time to make us feel welcome and share a few laughs. I highly recommend this place for great BBQ and a warm atmosphere!

My wife and I made the decision to head to Big T?s after only having ordered delivery previously. Great decision, that was! Cam and Ben were awesome; Super nice, welcoming, and helpful. The food was delicious and portions were filling. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!!! Meticulously clean restaurant, amazing service, delicious food, and good people.

Usually when we order from here there?s a 50/50 chance something is going to be wrong. Today I ordered the smoked chicken sandwich, and this chicken was so burnt I almost cracked a tooth. Completely inedible. My dog won?t even eat it.
