Patrizia and luigi greeted us cordially and graciously in their home for a delicious firm of endless courses, flowing wein, exciting strata and laugh. we arrived in front of the other group and had the opportunity to join patrizia and luigi and the young, charming translator salvo. as soon as all were there, we gathered around the tables and the festivities began. it was just that we were all from the Usa so that the table talks were easily flown from one thing to the next. luigi told stories and explained all the dishes and salvo followed along and shared information with luigi . patrizia worked in the open kitchen and could also participate in the discussions. the food was incredible! it was a firm of fish on many different species and more than you could ever imagine. fresh, beautiful presented, delicious and full of love. although completely full, we could all enjoy some refreshing desserts and of course some dessert wines. it was over midnight when we got up from the table and when the people began to go, luigi put a bottle of local wine in the hands of each couple to take home. at our last talks, hugs and kisses we made us feel part of their family. a fun and unforgettable evening!

One of the high points of our journey. we were made to feel so welcome when we arrived. eating was some of the best we had in our four weeks in italy. a wonderful experience that we will remember for a long time.

We had an absolutely amazing class and dinner in sapori di girgenti! the hospitality was amazing! we have made some other home-restaurants cooking classes in our family holiday to Italy and that was by far the best!
