I called ahead to ask if it was acceptable to wear tailored shorts and a formal shirt as I read on the website shorts were not acceptable. I was dismissively told that is was not acceptable to wear shorts despite the heat. I turned up in long pants (and a pile of sweat) only to see the restaurant usher in guest after guest in casual shorts. If you do decide to visit, DO NOT listen to what they write on their website or what they say if you call them on the phone. They WILL let everyone in wearing shorts. Seems they are out to make the experience uncomfortable for the few who want to follow their rules. Food was acceptable but we expected more from a high end restaurant.
A favourite of mine, will always return. Exceptional food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. The best high end restaurant in Cyprus Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Four seasons I had heard nothing but raving reviews about the food and standard of service about this restaurant prior to my trip to Cyprus so was very excited to be booked for dinner on August 11th 2022. It was explained to me and clearly stated when we booked that shorts are not to be worn in this restaurant. Myself , my fiancé and brother in law arrived , ordered and were set to have a great night. This suddenly came to a halt when a table came in and sat next to us consisting of two females and a male who clearly was wearing shorts. A bit of background into this is that my fiancé and his brother visited the same restaurant a few years back. My fiancé was wearing shorts and told he would not be able to dine within the restaurant unless he changed into trousers. Luckily his brother was staying locally so he managed to change and was allowed to dine within the restaurant. Back to present day we were eager to see how the staff would approach this gentleman wearing shorts. The waiters explained the protocol and made a table in the outside area especially for the group and they left. I was SHOCKED to witness ten minutes later the group coming back in ranting about the unjust and wanting to speak to management not caring about ruining the atmosphere for anyone else. We were fully expecting when management came to politely remind them of the rules for everyone and again escort them outside. Well , it seems whoever shouts the loudest and causes a scene is allowed to disregard the rules and management allowed them to stay. Begrudgingly we finished our meal needless to say the atmosphere and unjust of the situation still at the forefront of our minds. This completely overshadowed how tasty the food was. We left and as we approached the upstairs the manager asked how our meal was. I mentioned all of the above and stated it seems that because the group made a scene management backed down and to me ruined the experience. I explained what happed with my fiancé a few years back and needless to say he could not say anything in response. I vowed that i will not bs returning for this reason and will be letting people know exactly the double standards of the management there. Less than 24 hours later my brother in law received a call offering for us to come back for lunch to discuss the nights events. The damage had been done and we did not take this offer up. The double standards and the lack of respect for guests who abide by their rules for me is enough never to return to this restaurant. Reading prior reviews this is not the first time this has happened Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
The food was exquisite as usual and the coconut saga for dessert was by far the best!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Santiago, the waiter, personally came to our table and had a talk with us because he heard us speaking Spanish. He’s extremely friendly, serviceable and was very attentive to everything we needed. He’s a 10/10 worker and waiter. Service: 5
