Alvkarleby Turist Konferenshotell Restaurang

This is a wonderful place. I've traveled here annually from the United States for the last two years, and I would stay here every time I visit this part of Sweden. The friendly service is world class, and I've made great friends with the staff. Beyond the excellent service is a clean, comfortable hotel nestled beside a beautiful river renowned for it's salmon fishing. An excellent breakfast buffet is available each morning, and the kitchen will do it's best to meet all of your eating needs.

There was strange not pleasant smell in the toilet of the hotel room and cleanness was not perfect what is unexpected for Swedish hotels. One of the lamps above the bed fell out (see picture) and was required service man to come (could not be fixed by myself). On the other hand, the nature there is extremely nice: river, rapids, islands, bridges, places for fishing, jumping salmon and many other things are amazing.

It's an OK place to stay. Very good breakfast. Rooms we had were standard double and quite comfy. A we bit outdated Games room with table tennis was fun and proximity to Laxån is a plus. Loud music can be a problem in the summer months.

Had a great lunch there. The service was good and food was excellent.

Alvkarbley is a place of middle of nowhere : , it 's located amidst Forest. In that context, this hotel is like a heaven. You have all the basic amenities and serve breakfast! Good value for the money. It 's really a beautiful scenery from the hotel room.
