Vientiane Thai-laos - Adelaide

My husband and I visited this restaurant when they had only been open for about a week. They serve delicious and reasonably priced Thai-Laos Asian inspired dishes. The service was attentive and fairly quick, and the food was very tasty (although we should have ordered it a little spicier next time). As a vegetarian who mostly eats vegan, I was happy to find plenty of options on the menu. We will definitely be returning to try more dishes next time we have a babysitter. We enjoyed cold rolls, pad thai Ji, Thai salad, veg green curry, and black sticky rice. The total bill came to $55. The restaurant is run by a lovely couple, and I had a chat with the wife who is from Laos and the husband who is from Thailand.

The food was delicious, but the chef should be more careful about timing when sending out dishes for a table. Two of us were almost finished with our meals by the time the last person received their dish. Even if rice is ordered as a side, it should still come out at the same time as the main course. It's not a separate course!

Every time I have ordered takeout from this restaurant, the wait has been longer than expected. Even when they say it will be ready in minutes, I always arrive a few minutes later just to be safe, only to end up waiting at least one more minute. The food is decent, but after experiencing this issue multiple times, I have decided that this will be my last visit to this establishment.

I made a reservation over the phone for a restaurant that was supposed to be open, but when I arrived, the place was closed and there was a sign on the door indicating it was closed for January. I was not happy because I had made a booking and was expecting to dine there.
