Soonta Waymouth Street - Adelaide

I recently enjoyed a delicious chicken banh mi from Soonta. It really hit the spot for my lunch craving. The roll was simple but bursting with flavor. The service was decent and the price was fair. Thank you for a great meal.

Great lunch Bar. So popular there was a queue out the door and people were standing in the rain. Pre made fresh salad just choose your topping. Banh Mi very fresh and tasty. They don't use pate however they use aioli instead. Good combo meal deals.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of attention to customer care in the food handling practices at this restaurant. I have given this place multiple chances, but after my last visit, I will not be returning. The first time I visited, I noticed that the person preparing my food did not change their gloves after handling money from a previous customer. I assumed maybe I had missed them changing gloves and gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, the same situation occurred a week later with no glove change after handling money from the next customer. I decided to contact Soonta through their website and provide details of the incidents. They vowed to review security footage and speak with the staff involved, giving me hope that the issue would be addressed. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, I witnessed the same unsafe practices of not changing gloves after handling money and using their hands to make sandwiches instead of using tongs. This poses a serious health risk to customers and is completely unacceptable.

I have been referred to this place due to it's quick service and food. It has now been the third time that I have visited at an early time to buy crackling pork with salad and the third time that they have advised that they have run out. What other options was I given ..chicken this and chicken that. Sorry I'm not going again and will walk the extra 500 metres to find a place that better manages their supplies for consumers..

Always order the katsu chicken crunchy goodness. Either in a rice bowl with fish sauce dressing or in a roll (bahn mi) with lime mayonnaise. Super yummy! Normally sells out after 2pm. Drinks are expensive.
