The outdoor area is great for watching your food being cooked in traditional Izakaya style. They have a Friday happy hour for both drinks and food. The service is attentive and the food is tasty, although not the best I've had. I would still go back because I love the overall vibe of the place. There are plenty of items on the menu that I still want to try. Definitely worth a visit, especially on a Friday night!
Located near my workplace and my favorite bar, Nishiki is a must-visit for me. This casual Japanese eatery/bar, known as an Izakaya, offers a great selection of sake that I have been slowly exploring. Their miso soup is delicious and essential for any Japanese meal, and their grilled dishes are mind-blowing in the evenings. I have dined here multiple times and absolutely love it. I highly recommend giving it a try!
After enjoying some drinks with friends, we stumbled upon this restaurant. Despite being full, the staff kindly suggested that we dine in the rear courtyard. It was a gorgeous space with lovely lighting and heaters, resembling a private dining room. I could imagine it being packed with diners in the summer. The menu was straightforward and typical of a Japanese restaurant, with stunning presentations and incredibly fresh produce and seafood. The staff were excellent and the drinks selection was impressive. We were thoroughly impressed with the delicious food and top-notch service.
What a find. Cute izakaya with delicious food. Loving the vibe. Bar/Japanese tapas food with drinks to match. Definitely will be here again.
I loved this little Izakaya. We sat outside on a hot summer night to cold asahi, Japanese tapas and sashimi. The sashimi was solid mix of fresh snapper, tuna, kingfish, scallop, mackerel and the crowd-favourite of salmon. The service was prompt and so was the food. The BBQ veggies (king oyster is recommended) were yum too. It's a small, friendly and inspired Japanese restaurant and look forward to visiting next time I'm in Adelaide.
