We ordered a $50 board “Mother’s Board” was not a good quality selection of overall and especially the cheese. the brot was not fresh either. but we enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine.
This self-proclaimed wine bar is all about tasting and learning more about wine, without the snobbery. Mother Vine would be a great option if you’re after a serious wine fix and don’t have time to make the drive out to the Barossa or Adelaide Hills. In many ways, Mother Vine is very similar to its across-the-road neighbour The Tasting Room (minus the shop front). Whereas The Tasting Room is all warmth and wood panelling, Mother Vine is much more contemporary, adorned by concrete, black tiles and bar stools. Thoroughly enjoyed Mother Vine great ambience, a good selection of delicious foodstuffs (can definitely recommend the Mothers Board and the mushrooms with polenta) as well as friendly service and a comprehensive wine list. Get onto it, you can't go wrong.
Mothervine, from the owners of the popular East End Cellars, is a trendy wine bar just behind Rundle street on Vardon Lane. The place is casual modern. There 's bar and table seating available both inside and outside, lots of natural light during the day as well as cool music and a decent vibe. We have previously visited Mothervine for drinks, so before a Fringe show, decided the food was also worth trying. The food menu is quite small and I 'm told is constantly changing. On our visit, there was about eight small share plates as well as the 'motherboard ': a large platter of cheeses, sliced meats, etc. The wine list, as expected, is big.
