The waiter explained that my coffee plunger had to be left to brew properly before pressing down the lid and the result was very good coffee - nice change from the expresso type coffees.I enjoyed a New York deli style Reuben toasted Pastrami sandwich - this was the most authentic NY sandwhich that I've had in South Australia! It even had the pickled gerkins on the side. My friend had a vegetarian. tomatoe, mushroom and garlic cream cheese toasted sandwhich which she said was delicious.I love the atmostphere in this cafe with Fred the Dachshund keep the guest amused and plenty of interesting unusual and hard to find magazines to purchase.
Hidden in a little side alley of Hindley street is the cosy Magazine Gallery Cafe located. I had a very nice cafe latte as well as a tasty home made carrot cake. They also serve a lovely variety of tea. I loved the huge variety of national & international magazines which are hard to get elsewhere. The Magazine Gallery Cafe is a cool hidden gem!
The City Library is one of the coolest community libraries I've found It's small in size, but the range of content is diverse.
This is the perfect spot to relax, especially if you enjoy reading.
