Made a booking for 6:30, when we arrived it was extremely busy, although we made a booking we still had to wait for a table for 40 minutes. Although the man did apologise We got the lamb broth, it was warm and pleasantly spicy. The meat and all the vegies tasted very fresh Definitely will be back !
At long last we made it to Go-In Hot Pot on Gouger Street–one of the most popular haunts in Chinatown, especially during the cooler months. Many converge here to hover their faces over hot steaming soup pots whilst cooking their choice of meats and veggies and devouring all the deliciousness with custom made dipping sauces from a huge variety of condiments available in gigantic self serve bowls.
Recommended. Go-In has a fun choice of having your own mini hot pot or a traditional shared hotpot. Their concept is a a la carte menu rather than the buffet style at the other hot pot place down the street, the price might seem a little steep but fear not, the portions are quiet big so you won't feel ripped off A good variety of soup base, with many ingredients to choose from. Ordered a veggie bowl and a mixed meats, the greens are fresh and the meats are not too thin, so it's a decent bite to each piece. Highly recommend the fish ball with fish roe in it, a delightful surprise but be careful not to scald your mouth when eating it It was a good experience and we'll be going back!
I was very, very satisfied with my meal at Go-In hotpot. It was the second meal I'd had there in as many months. The ingredients are fresh and varied, especially if you order the home-made' options like fishballs with fish eggs, or home-made noodles. Service is friendly, quick and helpful. Prices aren't the cheapest but you leave feeling as if every cent was well spent. My pro tip: don't order the hot spicy soup and expect to drink it straight. You'll just suffocate! The soup is perfect for cooking things in as it gives them all a delicious flavour. If you want to drink some of the soup, mix a small amount of it with a milder soup, like the pork rib soup. Works a treat TL;DR: Great...read more
