Dined here with a group of 8.Service was slow, had to beg for a drink again and again and not easy attracting the staff's attention.Meals came out quickly except that the rice came out last so a bit pointless as we had eaten most of our meals that needed the rice.Softshell Crab and Salt and Pepper Squid were the standouts.ok, but not a Standout.
I had no idea this place existed and I nearly walked straight past it. Located in what used to be an Irish pub, what a surprise. We visited on a Saturday lunch for Yum Cha and were pleasantly surprised. The decor is really nicely done, round tables with Lazy Susans - traditional Chinese feel about the place and clean and well maintained.Food was as you would expect - dumplings, pork buns, spring rolls, rice paper rolls, you name it. Staff bombarded us when we arrived, it was not the most relaxing experience as we tried to settle in and waiters came from every angle trying to get us to order drinks, dumplings and squid all at the same time from three different people at the table. So the service was not fantastic. We also had to ask quite a few times for soy sauce and some savoury items as we were getting desserts offered before we had a chance to eat savoury. After asking a few waiters for some dim sims and spring rolls, we eventually found a staff member that actioned our request - albeit 10 minutes later - and we were given a complimentary item to apologise. If you like yum cha and enjoy the crazy experience of randomly picking food from a trolley with no idea of the cost - this is a great option in Adelaide. We had 4 adults and 2 children in our party. With 3 alcoholic drinks and some Chinese tea, our total for lunch quickly accumulated to nearly $190. So not a cheap lunch, but a tasty one in a nicely maintained restaurant.
We have been here a few times now and the food in consistently delicious flavorsome and the service is fast and friendly.
We had a nice meal at Citi Zen Restaurant of Szechuan Beef, Salt & Pepper Tofu and XO Beans - all meals where very tasty and generous serves. Citi Zen also accept Entertaining Book Vouchers. Service was good from all staff. The restaurant is also nicely decorated but way to bright - need to turn down the lights to make it more relaxing. The other part of the restaurant at the front has the lights turn down and looks so much better.
