The place is served by friendly helpful staff. Meals selection and wine were great.Dependent of size of crowd, there are various rooms available.A must for fine dining .
Could not fault the food..service..or staff..everything was wonderful. The ballroom made a splendid venue for the 24 dinner party guests to help the Birthday boy celebrate his 60th. Guests from Kangaroo Island..Port Lincoln..Family from England and locally..some catching up for the first time in 30 odd years. Great time had by all.
Attended an intimate wedding. Ceremony was beautiful as was the reception. The grounds are lovely and the ambience inside very regal. Food was nice - Modern Australian, with friendly staff. Not much parking though. Would love to return.
We enjoyed a great wedding feast in the Henry Brasserie room last nightThe entree Large Prawn Tails Or roasted Pork Belly, we both chose the prawn which were very tasty and definitely large, other people at the table with the Pork Belly declared that to be excellent also. Main course Chargrilled fillet of beef OR five herb roasted chicken breast. We had one of each, my husband's beef excellent, my chicken breast flavoursome but unfortunately overcooked and a bit cold. The table service and waiting staff were attentive and efficient, oh and the hors d'oeuvres excellent and plentiful.I would thoroughly recommend for your next function.
I stumbled across this beautiful, old premises on the way back from the Botanic Gardens. I have a love for old buildings so had to go in, as you do :) I was reminded of my Grandma's house and how huge it seemed and how around every corner there seemed to be something even more amazing to investigate. I could almost imagine what it might have been like to live in this era. The stairs to go down to the kitchen looked too steep for me to tackle but the rest of the house was lovely and quite grand. I think, like Martindale Hall I will have to return one day......
