Argo Hellenic Cafe - Adelaide

Five stars! This restaurant truly deserves the full rating. The dining experience is as authentic as it gets when it comes to Greek cuisine—absolutely phenomenal. It feels like a cozy tavern nestled in the mountains, perfect for weary travelers after a long journey on one of the Greek islands. The food is fresh and the grilling is fantastic. I believe the other three-star reviews stem mainly from concerns about service speed. We had lunch there and were served very quickly. I would highly recommend it—10 out of 10!

The Greek cuisine here is incredible! My Greek friend even remarked that it rivals her grandmother's cooking. In fact, there's a Greek grandmother and grandfather who prepare most of the meals themselves!

Food was very nice! Being Greek myself, it was nice to have Greek food that reminded me of when I went to Greece many years ago and ate food there. Very quick to get your food too. However!! My only issue is the service is very, very slow! There was only one man, who I believe might be the owner, that was waiting tables, serving food, helping customers pay and serving drinks! On a Sunday too. I think a call for more staff is in need; took over 15 minutes to hail for some more drinks. I’d love to give 4 or higher stars but the service really needs improvement...

This place is a mixed bag, some meals were good, baby goat made me sick one time. This time the meat was undercooked including the chicken, fish was burnt and chewy. Oven roasted potatoes were oily and bland. Best part was the plain salad. Chief must hate his job. Definitely the last time I will eat here.
