El Gran Sol - Adeje

I ordered the vegetable paella at this restaurant. The girl who took our order was friendly, as was the other waiter who brought us the check. However, the waiters who brought our drinks and food seemed to dislike their job and didn't pay much attention to us. They practically threw the items on the table without looking at us.

I inquired about vegan options with the waiter and was told that only the paella and a salad were available. The other items listed on Happy Cow were not vegan, as they contained cheese and other non-vegan ingredients. While the paella was tasty, I found it to be overpriced.

I would not recommend this restaurant. There are very limited options for vegans, such as bruschetta without cheese, pardon peppers, and pizza with no cheese. Despite asking the waiter to ensure there was no cheese, both the pizza and bruschetta arrived with cheese. I ended up canceling the order for the bruschetta. The pizza took an additional 20 minutes to arrive and when it did, there was a hair in the middle of it. The service was very poor, with no real acknowledgment or apology from the manager. Overall, it was a bad experience.

Lovely restaurant overlooking the sea with some really nice vegan options , Vegetable paella and penne arrabbiata were delicious with lovely cocktails too.

I really appreciated that they offered vegetarian and vegan options on their menu. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They provided allergy information on the menu, but were also willing to accommodate any additional inquiries.
