Westside Flying Chicken - Addis

I had a very pleasant experience. The menu was limited to chicken tenders with tender sauce on the side, dinner rolls, and your choice of either fries, okra or slaw. It took about 7 minutes to get my food. However, it was fresh! The chicken was nicely hand battered and seasoned. The okra was cooked just right, not too soggy not burnt. The dinner rolls were generic but soft and good. Also, the staff was friendly and I will definitely be back.

The service was bad the chicken tenders were not good the sides were tiny.I ordered the oven roasted garlic potatoes were bland.

So, this is like the 4th time we have gotten chicken from Westside, there are not many fried chicken spots in the area and we wanted to give them a chance.. However this is probably the last time. They are perfectly located and stand to benefit greatly from a growing area population if only they could invest in a better cook. Their food is consistently not to par! We have bought, tried to eat and just ended up discarding most of the food. Seasoning and choice of frying oil is important when making fried chicken and fries. We hope they get their act together or they'll be closing shop.

I've tried their fried chicken tenders twice now and both times I was left with a very bitter taste in my mouth. It was so bad the last time that I drove back to tell the cook/manager about it. I have not been back.
