Rocky Point Creamery - Adamstown

I would love to give this place the stars they deserve, as their ice cream and sorbet are truly excellent. However, I believe there needs to be some clarification and better training for the staff regarding whether pints can be ordered from the display case when the freezer is out of stock for a specific flavor.

The prices at this place are pretty high for ice cream that is just average in taste. To be honest, I would rather enjoy Hershey's. Additionally, when my husband requested a sundae, they insisted on a specific flavor and wouldn’t let him pick his own. Their customer service was also quite unfriendly. Even though it’s only a five-minute drive from our home, we won't be returning.

We took a drive with our car club, and this was our final stop on the tour. There were many tempting ice cream options, and they also serve beef. Although I personally prefer milkshakes over ice cream scoops, I can only give this place 4 stars. They only offer about 3 or 4 flavors of milkshakes, which is quite limited compared to other creameries that let you choose any flavor available. The venue was spacious and clean, and they even have a drive-thru. The staff was friendly, even with around 40 of us arriving all at once.

So far, this is my favorite place along the Maryland ice cream trail. The customer service area is roomy enough to handle a large crowd, and it feels bright and clean. There are charming details, like mini cows, that keep the kids entertained while the adults savor their frozen treats. They also have a beautiful sunflower field, which makes for a stunning photo backdrop. When you go, you simply must try their caramel flavor—it's incredibly creamy and delicious! I always make sure to take some home with me after each visit.

This restaurant is a must-stop if you're in the area or just passing through! The ice cream is incredibly fresh and delicious. We enjoyed sitting outside, and the place was spotless. The staff was welcoming and friendly too. Just a heads up: the kid's size portion is quite large! I highly recommend you give it a try. I will certainly be coming back!
