The Red Raven Catering - Acton

Went with a small group recently for weekend lunch. Nice setup inside and great views over the water. A bit drafty downstairs, most of us kept our jackets on. I ordered a bean burger and the patty was cold and bland. The aioli saved it. 3 of us ordered wine and the glasses were “dirty” covered in water spots. Waiter was very friendly. I felt the food was overpriced for some of the items salad add on and burgers. We paid quite a bit for an average meal. I would go back for apps and a beer and try sitting at the bar.

Fun local meeting spot with great seasonal plates and cocktails. In the summer sit on the deck over the water. In the winter sit by the fire and while away a few hours with friends.

Read the burgers were good so me and the girl went there to randomly one day so I wasn't expecting much and went about the normal routine of just getting some food in my stomach . I got a app to start and laughed when I tasted the fish tacos ,I don't know why I reacted that way but it was amazing ,and it took me by surprise ,so then was paying attention ,I also tried the sriracha shrimp app my girl ordered and once again it was amazing .Before I could finish the app the bacon burger I ordered came out along with her salmon burger ,She dove right in the hers while I was loving the tacos, She offered me a taste of hers and once again amazing then I started to pay attention to mine. I was disappointed with what I saw, Missing cheese , sauce ,looked plain and unassuming . So I finished my tacos, and then jumped into to the burger , and started laughing again right after the first bite . Burger was bursting with cheese and sauce stuffed inside the patty,perfectly cooked,flavors were spot on, soooo dam good. Gotta try this spot if you can.

Awful experience! Ended up going across the parking lot to the Chinese restaurant and had a better time there and wish we dined there instead.Staff were rude, experience was a timely one (two hours for a salad and hamburger; waiting 30mins after being seated to get a menu then didn't see our waitress for a longggg time), staff were wearing masks but had them under their chins...nice set up and decor but such an uncomfortable atmosphere.

Got takeout for dinner. Wayyy too overpriced for the portions, food was ok at best and cold. We had to wait when we picked up our order so we expected it to still be hot when we got home (we live literally right behind the restaurant). Maybe it's better to eat in, but we won't be doing takeout again.
