Hashi Teppan Grill - Abilene

I am very disappointed. The teriyaki chicken here is of poor quality and unhealthy. It's nothing like what you would get at Sarku Japan. The food was just sitting under heat lamps and wasn't fresh. The sauce was excessively sugary, the rice was fried, and the vegetables weren't steamed. The prices are also not low. I will not be coming back.

There are no prices displayed anywhere! Egg rolls are categorized as appetizers, which I think should be suitable for sharing. However, they're priced at $2.50 each, which is ridiculous. The only truly fresh item was the meat, which I must admit was flavorful and tasty. Unfortunately, the noodles seemed like they had been made weeks ago and had been reheated several times. The vegetables were a mix of undercooked and overcooked to the point of being soggy. Overall, this will be our first and last visit here!

The chicken served was overcooked, dry, and lacking in flavor. Sauces were offered in small containers, with a choice of two. Although the menu was relocated to a better space, it felt less informative since it didn’t include prices. The white rice was average, and the vegetables in the tray appeared rather unappetizing. The Edamame pea pods were freshly made and also average, but the salt distribution was not well done. The service was prompt, and there were plenty of tables available. I appreciated the ceiling lamps and the overall branding decor. It's a straightforward menu for simple meals.

This place is absolutely fantastic! The food is amazing, and even though they occasionally run out of supplies like straws, lids, or chopsticks, it really doesn’t matter when the food is that good. I usually order double chicken and double noodles, and I love mixing in their delicious hot sauce with ginger. It’s simply incredible! The service, both in the restaurant and over the phone, is excellent—very friendly and attentive. Overall, a wonderful experience!

The best dining spot in Abilene! The chicken is flavorful, and the noodles are simply delightful.
