If you enjoy a nice well laid out rural pub, this one will take some beating, especially if you like real ale.

The Axis Centre is just off the main road in Newmachar. The cafe offers soup, sandwiches, teas, coffees and a scrumptious looking selection of cakes tray bakes in pleasant bright surroundings. Service is friendly and there's a mix of dining table chairs and also comfortable armchairs at which to be seated. Todays parsnip soup was flavourful and the sandwiches freshly made to order. The Coronation chicken sandwich filling was chunky mildly spiced and the cheese in the ham cheese sandwich was strong tasty. Sandwiches are served with coleslaw, crisps an attractive side salad. The cafe caters for children, providing special meal boxes and accepts payment by credit card.

Lovely, small cafe within the Newmachar Community Centre. The coffee is hot and made the way you like it. The baked goods are fresh and the staff are friendly and helpful.
