The Everest Nepalese And Indian

This restaurant is outstanding. We recently explored Nepalese cuisine at a place in Edinburgh, and this one is even better. The decor is sleek and modern, featuring a lovely mix of cultural elements. The atmosphere is cozy, enhanced by soft music and gentle lighting. We appreciate a balance—while we dislike harsh spotlights, we still want to be able to see our food. The service is warm and efficient, even though the restaurant has become quite busy lately due to a nearby office building on Union Street. The food was delightful, with generous portions. The chicken was fresh and juicy, a refreshing change from a couple of disappointing experiences at other (Indian) restaurants recently. We took home the leftovers and enjoyed the meal again a few days later. I highly recommend this restaurant, but be sure to make a reservation during peak times.

I found an incredible early bird special from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. For just $12.95, you get an appetizer, a main dish, naan or rice, and dessert. However, I found the tikka masala to be overly sweet for my taste. The garlic chili was decent, featuring large pieces of garlic, but there was only a small amount of lamb. Overall, while the curries didn't quite meet my expectations, the service was excellent and the deal was fantastic!

What a fantastic dining experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt exceptionally welcomed. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was outstanding. The food was incredible, bursting with amazing flavors and absolutely delicious. We will definitely return!

The best curry we have had for years. This Nepalese restaurant doesn't exactly stand out and you could easily pass it by, but make an effort to search it out. Both our dishes contained lots of meat/fish and the sauces were so tasty. Staff were lovely and friendly too. Service was excellent.
