Di Maggio's - Aberdeen

Ordered a Jacket potato with two toppings, tuna and cheese. The cheese portion was so tiny I had to order an extra portion which cost me a pound. The extra portion was a good amount and I asked why they didn't just give me that amount of cheese the first time. They said the portion size was the same and walked away. Lied straight to my face and were rude.

I frequented Di Maggio's during my time at uni in Aberdeen and 10 years later I can't help but go back whenever I'm in the city! It's basic, casual, quick, very cheap and serves the kind of simple fayre that everyone loves. The pizza and pasta are always good, they also do burgers, fish and chips and sandwiches etc, there's nice traybakes and cakes and so on. Every now and again I'll get a pizza that's been left out too long or it'll be ridiculously busy and the staff will be bellowing at customers but even when that happens, I go back next time and enjoy it!

Terrible experience . Staff noisey behind the counter .My husband is dairy intolerant asked what was available for him to eat .The assistant handed him the ingredients list for all the food in the cafe and told to look for himself .Turns out he could only eat an egg or black pudding. There were no dairy alternatives like soya or oat milk for coffee . I had a scone which was so dry I couldn't eat it. A pot of tea that was so weak it was terrible . We will not be returning .

Very disappointed. The breakfast was not good. The bacon was extremely dry and it appeared to have been made for quite a while. The toast which came pre-buttered was not nice, there was hardly any butter on it. To be served breakfast on a paper plate was the last straw. The coffee was okay, the staff okay, the cafe was clean enough. I asked for a receipt because I questioned how expensive it was. This was to enable me to compare the price we paid and what was shown on the board. Unfortunately I received a receipt which was totally illegible. We have visited this establishment many times in the past, but unfortunately this will be the last.

There is nothing Italian about this cafe. They don't even have a proper espresso machine. It was clean and fast though. I won't be back.
