Characters Cafe - Aberdeen City

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and I will definitely be returning. The coffee was tasty and the homemade baked goods were gorgeous. I also enjoyed their selection of craft gifts. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

We were wandering down to explore Footdee and then along the esplanade, wishing we'd had a coffee first, when we came upon this lovely wee coffee house. The folk were very friendly, the coffee excellent, as was the lunch. There was a good choice of freshly made food too. Would definitely return if back in Aberdeen.

The owners pour their hearts and passion into ensuring customers have a warm and welcoming experience. They offer homemade scones, a daily soup special, and a wide selection of sandwiches and paninis that are a step above what you typically find in a chain coffee shop. The cozy atmosphere makes it feel like a home away from home, the perfect spot to relax by the harbor.

I have found myself a regular at Characters. Friendly folk and comfortable atmosphere. Love the coffee. My favourites are hot filled bagels in the morning, and a specials baguette each day with imaginative fillings. If I could eat there every day I would! Perfect for workday lunch and just a few minutes walk from city centre down Marischal Street. The homebakes are also amazing.

Ann makes wonderful bacon and egg rolls. Just the way you like it. Everything is homemade and yummy. It's actually like you've come to visit the family and they're treating you to the loveliest soups,sandwiches etc Students would love it.Mums would approve as their girls would be well fed for very reasonable prices. The family get to know everyone by name and are genuinely interested in people. I would highly recommend this lovely place. Go for coffee and cake. A working breakfast ? Or ladies you dine. And tourists this is the real food, culture and kindness of the Scottish people !
