Emig's 81 Diner - Abbottstown

The young ladies working behind the counter were chatting loudly while we waited for our menus. I appreciate a lively work atmosphere, but come on—focus on the customers. We noticed our food sitting in the window, waiting for the rest of the order to come out. Our waitress struggled to carry all of our food because of a hot plate and fumbled with napkins, trying to manage it all. Perhaps using a serving tray would have been a better solution?

I had a satisfying meal with plenty of food. The stewed tomatoes were excellent, but the mac and cheese could have used a bit more cheese. The shoo-fly pie was fantastic. As for parking, there were plenty of spaces available. I dined in for lunch, and the price per person was between $10 and $20.

--- I had a delightful breakfast experience! The food was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5. The service was equally impressive, also deserving a 5. The atmosphere was lovely and inviting, making my meal even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!
