They have goats and rabbits and chickens and pigs, all quite satisfied and well maintained. I've never seen so many pumpkins. There are many activities for the little ones. The market was much more than expected. And the food was fabulous. We had samosas and pumpkins, served in a small pumpkin. We enjoyed the maize maze and learned a fair piece during the day. I bought hearty cakes and other treats at home for dinner and everything was delicious. I am back and recommend a visit to anyone who needs some time away from the city.
Goat Yoga was an explosion! The baby goats jumping over all created so many laughs and memories. It made the class even more pleasant. Yoga was also very well taught and good for all levels. The barn was very warm and above all it was a comfortable and fantastic experience. The food was delicious! And the parts are big. It was also nice to follow with a glass of blackberry wine.
My new wife and I couldn't be happier with our decision to book our wedding at Maan Farms. Brittney and Gurleen were nothing but professional from our first tour all the way to our wedding day. They were very organized and provided prompt answers to all of our questions and concerns. The venue itself is stunning and welcoming to guests of all ages. The Mt Baker ceremony site is breathtaking and The Barn has a cozy yet elegant feel. Best of all, our guests loved being able to roam around the dancefloor, bar and gazebo areas throughout the night without missing any of the action. If you are looking for a fun, inclusive and one of a kind wedding venue, look no further. Our guests are still raving about how much fun they had and how great the food tasted (especially the late night samosas). We truly had the best day of our lives. 10 out of 10.
I really enjoyed the farm over-all. I felt like the staff was a bit standoff-ish today though.. The girl we ordered our food from initially was a bit rude. Admittedly I had asked her a question and tried to order while she was helping another customer, which was my bad and I apologized for not noticing. I had missed where the line was and was at the check out instead of the ordering spot. That being said, even after I apologized (it was an honest mistake I owned up to , her attitude was stand-offish. When my husband had picked up our strips (we had wanted hotdogs but they were out of buns , she put them down as close to her as possible, turned and left. He had to reach over a display to pick up our order. He said she didn't say anything, no thank you or your welcome, and just walked away. It was not busy in there. When we were leaving, my husband wanted to suprise me with one of the pumpkin cream things (I had originally decided not to get one because I had to be careful with my budget, and I already went over budget today, but he wanted to suprise me. Apparently they said the ice cream machine was closed-as they were using the machine for someone else, so he felt a little put off by that. It would also be nice if the bins of pumpkins were labeled, or if there was a sign explaining how the pricing for each type of pumpkin/squash worked, as there were a couple misunderstandings regarding that. It's possible there was a sign and I missed it. Other than that, the animals were so cute and look well taken care of (the goats are super friendly , the zipline was a blast, the corn maize was muddy-but fun. They have a lot of interesting things to check out. If was the first real date day we've had in a long time because of covid and I did enjoy it. We usually go to the Laity pumpkin patch, but wanted to do something different this year. I do think we will be back, but hopefully today was just an off day and not the normal experience.
This is our second time here and the first Sunflower Festival. We recently moved to the area and love this farm. We tried the Samosa lunch and bought Samosas, Chutney and Cake home. The cake is amazing and these are by far my favorite soups. We love the animals and feed them is the highlight of my trip. We enjoyed the beautiful sunflowers and did not this time the maize maze labyrinth, but had done it last Oct during our vacation. Thank you. We look forward to seeing more goats and getting our pumpkin!
