Maria's Mexican Restaurant - Abbeville

I love Mexican cuisine, and two of my favorite dishes are Carnitas and Tamales! I often leave this small hole in the wall Mexican joints disappointed with cooked fat pork or a nasty dried mule. This place served one of the absolutely best tamales I've ever had and the pig was crisp and tasteful and flavored traditionally raw perfection!

Extremely reasonable for 3 of us and really good, hot, authentic Mexican cuisine and great service.

Carnitas were excellent. My wife had Steak Tacos, but the meat was so hard that she couldn't chew it.

They make some tortilla chips without corn, type of taste like mini-scones, and they are SO GOOD!!! Our waiters were so patient and there. The food was delicious! I would like to come back and wish I lived in the area. A great place to eat, I highly recommend it!
