Insel Rhodos - Aachen

Sunday evening dinner a bit out of the tourist trail. In the hour before sunset, the patio was full of happy diners. I sat inside, which was too warm with little air flow, as the primary entrance was closed. My starter was artichoke hearts and anchovies with a Erdnuss-vinagrette - just yummy. My main was fired early, and arrived before I was ready. Mediterraner Lammbraten is lamb cooked in red wine over night with honey and thyme. My waiter made a great recommendation of a tasty syrah.

It is hard tof ind original Greek taste when you are abroad , especially in Germany.This restaurant has very good food , very friendly staff and good prices.The taste is very close to original ones and this creates a unique apportunity when you are in Aachen

Been coming here for almost half year. My first experience was second Christmas day and I was not disappointed!They give a true warm Greek welcome every time I come in. I have been with my husband but also brought business colleagues here. I was very proud to bring my colleagues and recommend this place. The treated me like an old friend and gave a warm welcome to my group. Every single person in our group from all over Europe, different cultures mixing said they had the best time!Must try is the lamb cooked over night, oh my goodness! The house Syrah wine is lovely paired with this. (for those of you who say I don't like lamb, well I have converted quite a few people with this dish, it is wonderful) For dessert, I must warn you there is no going back once you have it, the Figs in amaretto cream sauce. This is what it means when they say I have died and gone to heaven.The prices are great for the quality and taste of the food.Yes you get a complimentary ouzo, I don't drink ouzo, but it is a good one.I go to Greece yearly at least once if not twice, and this is truly a home away from home.Lots of warm wishes for the lovely group at Insel Rhodes! Once again you can recommend

Last Friday we were in Rhodes with 11 people. We ordered à la carte, with starters and main dishes. The food was delicious, the drinks cold, the staff friendly and above all attentive! Great evening on the terrace, which is very nicely located, to the Paugasse. Price performance super!
