When we go in we find a small bar and we have access to the whole place with one look. Old, with small tables, keeps the essence of another time and invites us to be part of its history and its kitchen the menu once you open it, it is difficult to decide for the many options it offers us. a very clean, clear and very attractive design. includes photos of some dishes with clear explanation of the ingredients, very good idea we find part of usual beak, tortilla, toast, croquettes, salads, tables of sausages and cheeses, more blunt dishes such as raxo, zorza, entrecot or croca our experience we visited the tavern of the arriero one night a week and the level of occupation was ideal to know it, all tables occupied but without. It was our first visit and we decided for a small peak for 2 that we chose one of the specialties, “Secrets of the forest” mushrooms rebounded with alioli sauce. the truth is that they were very good, the very tasty salsa that we continued with a tote of cheese with confined tomato, which turned out quite well. after we decanted for a simply sublime cheese “Delicias Manchegas”, finally bounced manchego we opted for a skillet of the arri, coristanco potatoes, camper eggs and village chorizo. possibly one of the most typical dishes in the country is that we were a bit disappointed in the presentation, we expected something more original, but obviously it was very good, with those ingredients it is difficult to conclude an excellent option to enjoy the most typical our gastronomy. many dishes, abundant rations and accompanied by good service. the local may not be the most comfortable, somewhat small tables for groups the price of the dishes is very correct and we can choose between complete rations or ask “tapas” the price of this dinner for two, 21 euros a price more than acceptable that we recommend to book, weekends can be the only option.
Omelette, raxo, mushrooms and carrot pie with very good cheese.
Dishes from menu of the day that are almost de carte. economic. quiet, clean and personal attentive. I repeat
My family and I stumbled across this quaint restaurant. There were outside tables and as we were looking at the food other patrons had one of the locals told us that the dish they had was Raxo , which is a pork dish with a wine sauce served on top of French fries. (Loved it)There were six of us and we all ordered something different. All of the dishes were excellent. This was by far my favorite restaurant during our 10 days travels. The service ,atmosphere and prices were excellent. They are well respected by the locals and we didn’t have a reservation but they fit us in. If you have a chance stop by and enjoy there wonderful food. Also you can scan their cq code for a version of their menu in English
We keep coming back to this hidden gem of a restaurant! It has a lovely family feeling, smiling and helpful waiters, and the food is great! Their secretos del bosque and flan de queso are must-haves, but you can 't go wrong on their menu.
