Las Chivas Restaurant - 4ta. Avenida

This place or restaurant is the All-Day open ‘go to’ restaurant here at the Hilton Cartagena. The hotel has not built back completely it’s customer base-so they are managing payroll-and this place has become the food anchor for all meals. With that said...and acknowledging that...breakfast is breakfast...you should not underestimate this place. The seafood dishes are well prepared, adequately portioned, and either dine-in or poolside (pretty nice) are available. Wait staff is top notch and just go out of their way to get it right. We’ve had the Ceviche, Sea Bass, Salads, Soups and more...and have not been disappointed yet. There are some other food options nearby the hotel and within walking distance...but they will not hold a candle to this place. Give this place a shot. You’ll be glad you did.

Located on the second floor of the Hilton Hotel excellent food that stands on its own separate from the hotel. Everything is delicious from steaks to pizzas and reasonably priced. My favourite and most surprising dish is the chicken crepe! Move over Paris! And what...a wine list! Indoor and out door seating. We got free breakfast which was lovely but returned at night for magical meals! Service at breakfast was ok except for a stun bunny who told us the outdoor fans were broken and they were out of hot milk, neither of which was true. I am guessing that person was in training??? However at night truly professional wait staff do an outstanding job. Apparently they also do lunch but we never ate it here. I have no idea where the picture is from but that is not the restaurant. The restaurant is very pretty.

We were truly pleased with the abundance of items in the breakfast buffet, with a palenquera making fresh tree-ripened fruit juices to the omelet stations, to the variety of homemade breads and pastries. Had to use the gym every day after our meetings because of...the great variety of foods and fruits.

My friend and I ate here almost every day. The food was good and you can not beat the view. The service was good.

The breakfast buffet was included in our room rate and offered something for everyone: lots of fruit, a fruit smoothie bar, omelette station and lots of meats and options. There is an inside (air conditioned) or outside seating area that overlooks the pool.
