Whenever I travel to Unzen, I always make sure to stop by this restaurant. Everything is delicious.

Most of the cakes were priced at 360 yen or less (as of June 2020). Can they be this cheap and delicious?! I couldn't hide my surprise! I visited on a Sunday morning, so it was nice that there was a wide variety of cakes available. There was also a good selection of baked goods, making it a great place to buy souvenirs. Although we didn't use it, there seemed to be a café in the back. The restaurant's regular closing days were irregular, but generally, they were closed on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, as well as the second and fourth Tuesdays, except for major holidays.

Although the main store is in Obama, I discovered this restaurant in Hasami as well. They have a cafe attached, so you can relax and have tea. The surrounding area is lined with old-fashioned houses, making it a bit hard to find. The cakes are truly Okamoto's specialty. With a wide variety to choose from, I got excited about the Mont Blanc eclair. The sweetness is not too overwhelming or too subtle, making it appealing to most people. The sponge has a resilient texture with an eggy flavor. Although preferences may vary, I think it's unlikely to disappoint. The drinks are self-service, so it's best not to expect anything out of the ordinary. The prices are reasonable, and the slices of cake are generous, so I was quite satisfied. They seem willing to accommodate requests such as birthday cakes within reason, so I plan to come back in the future. There are many cafes in the center of Hasami, but it can get crowded and noisy with people and cars. So, if you're looking for a peaceful place to have tea away from the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect spot on the outskirts of Hasami.

ケーキ屋さんですが　カフェが併設されてるので ゆっくり食べれます。平日は好きなケーキ２個と フリードリンクで　1000円で楽しめます。 フリードリンクスペースは狭くて　使いにくかったですが　最低限のドリンクはありました。 外の景色　テラスが見えてましが　壊れた自転車が置いてあったり　そこを綺麗にしたら　良かったと思います。

福岡から旅行できました。 カステラを買いたくて来たら、ケーキや焼き菓子が美味しそうで購入しました。 この価格でこのクオリティなのか！？と驚きのおいしさです！ カステラは通常のものもかなり美味しい、そしてバターカステラはそのまた上の濃厚さ！しかも安い。どうなってるのか！？ このお店を目掛けて行く価値あります。また行きまーす！
