Loved the pork schnitzel. Whitefish a little bland. Nice surroundings. Lovely desserts. True to German North American cuisine.

A great spot to take the whole family for lunch or dinner. Beautiful surroundings and facility. There's overnight rooms that that can be rented and they have a wonderful separate facility that could be rented for weddings or other special events.

We have friends in St. Joseph which is very close to Hessenland and we decided to go there for dinner. While the food was not inexpensive it was quite good. The wait staff were excellent and the grounds and atmosphere were just fine. They have a number of rooms reasonably priced which we also looked at. Give it a try and you might be surprised. Maybe not a full 4 star but for sure 3.5 for the ones who might be fussy.

Ate here for our ladies weekend away. We got the meat platter and it was amazing! Flavours were great. We chose our meats and cooked Cabbage, served with wine. Service was friendly. Had a very nice time.

A lovely restaurant serving authentic German food. Our large group all enjoyed their dinners. Delicious spaetzle and roast beef. A very nice starter salad. Great dessert choices. I would love to go back. Next time I will be sure to try the schnitzel!
