In York for a week’s holiday wanted somewhere for lunch what a great find this pup was. The food was out of this world never had a pie like it was more than I could every ask for and the banoffee pie was so good would recommend this pub to anyone who in York

Excellent Sunday roast. Mushroom and nut Wellington as well. We were lucky to get a cancellation, so remember to book!

Visited on Sunday with family and friends, plus one dog. Very dog friendly and very spacious in the dining area. Great service and we left a tip at the end. The Sunday lunch was amazing. A huge plate of great food at a very decent price, which was extremely filling. Would recommend the vegetarian Sunday lunch that came with a 'Mushroom Nut Wellington '. I highly recommend the venue and would definitely return.

So glad that we found this jewel of a place in our last night, while we visit york for a few days. amazing eating and great presentation also, really a professional kitchen. huge portions, great worth. gravy in the crippled and these were my left chips that were so good.

It is our local, but by golly eating last night went to another level! we had the turkey special, which looked inviting on the chalkboard, but his presentation, which was matched by the taste, was completely brilliant. color, taste and textures, they were all there. accompanied by a beautiful bottle (French) malbec it was fantastic. well done. I drilled a few people today. if they stay in york, the pubs of the city may be dug and impersonal, but the winning post gives them the good food, a friendly note, and also some great guests beer. what is not to like.
