You have a massive choice of main dishes, including joints of beef and pork both cooked to perfection. There is plenty of other choice usually including Pork Belly, Lamb Shank, Chicken in Wine Sauce, Steak Pie, Salmon, Cumberland Sausage, Duck and a Vegetarian Option. There are at least five choices of vegetables as well as roast and very tasty boiled potatoes. The gravy is always thick and flavoursome. There are also many excellent puddings to choose from. All portions are more then generous to such an extent that you have to remember to leave room for the pudding. The pub is beautifully kept and the open fire a delight to sit in front of. The full range of meals are served every lunch time and evening. Opening times 12 2.30 and 5.30 11. Meals served 12 2. and 6.00 9.00 Monday to Saturday. Sunday open 12 10.30 meals served until 8pm.
