Valley Indian Bistro - Yonkers

Most of the dishes we tried were good, but the kitchen was very slow. The intervals between courses were quite lengthy. At the time we visited, there weren't many diners, but if the restaurant were to get busier, the slow service would definitely be an issue. The decor was minimal and felt rather cheap. The word "schuhputz" comes to mind when I think of the atmosphere.

We enjoyed most of the dishes we tried, but the kitchen was incredibly slow. The wait between courses took a long time, and there were only a few diners present when we visited. If the restaurant were to get busier, I believe the slow service would become a significant issue. Additionally, the decor was quite minimal, and what little there was seemed very budget-friendly, giving off a shoestring vibe.

If you're looking for excellent, authentic Indian cuisine, this is the place for you. Don't let the location and the bright take-out setting discourage you. Also, you can bring your own drinks while they await their liquor license.

To our delight, our dinner arrived earlier than expected, which is not something we often encounter at other restaurants. I absolutely loved the flavors of the food at Valley Indian Bistro. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one had its own unique taste, which I really appreciated. At the end of the meal, Shankar treated us to desserts on the house. Even though we were full, we simply couldn't resist trying them. This restaurant is one of the best spots for authentic Indian cuisine in Yonkers. The food is delicious, and the ambiance is excellent. Shankar, our manager and server, was incredibly friendly, efficient, and always served with a professional smile. If you're looking for delivery, just give them a call, and they deliver right on time! Overall, the food is amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. As an American, I truly appreciate the authenticity and healthiness of the dishes—not drowning in excess oil like many other places. You won’t be disappointed; your stomach will be happy, and your wallet will remain intact, as the prices are very low for such fantastic food. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, especially for their weekday and weekend lunch buffet, which offers a wide variety at an unbeatable price compared to any other place in Westchester County.
