Galaxy Chinese Restaurant Yeppoon

I don't have a lot of positives other then the staff were nice. I felt it was way over priced for children. They go by your child's age and then add on $8 or more. Which there is no way my child would eat that much. Happy with adult prices though. The food itself I felt was way too oily and I actually felt sick afterwards. Will not be going back.

My son and I enjoyed a sit-down smorgasbord meal at this restaurant which was reasonably priced at $22.80 per person which includes your entrees, main meal, dessert, tea

Great value restaurant with in-dining plus takeaway food. Food is always fresh but dishes need to be refilled a bit quicker as they run out quickly. Good selection and good service with friendly staff

There were quite a lot of dishes on offer and the food was well priced. Self serve smorgasbords always go down well in my family and everything looked fresh. To be blunt the food was just bad. The honey chicken somehow managed to be simultaneously tough, dry and grisly. The sweet and sour pork was very acidic, it tasted wrong. The beef and black bean was bland and the satay chicken was very low on actual chicken. I think I would have enjoyed my meal more if I was drunk. I'm sure it goes down better after a few beers. Most of ours went in the bin. Hopefully they were just having a rough night when we visited and future customers fare better than we did.

We recently visited the Galaxy on a Monday night a few weeks ago with friends from Brisbane and we were totally embarrassed to have taken them there. We have often gone with friends in the past and lwe all loved it. The fried food was so hard on the outside I feel it had been recycled from the previous night. Fresh prawns were available with the dine-in buffet once but we're nowhere to be seen. Big signs everywhere 'don't waste food' which is understanderable but a little over the top, and another sign with the tea and coffee stating 'sorry no milk'. Desert which was one different flavoured icecream with jelly and fruit was now vanilla icecream only which was extremely hard to remove from the container. We cannot count the number of times we have been to this restaurant but we will never ever set foot in this disgusting place again. And by the way I normally don't write reviews.
