We were also invited to re-fill our plates as often as we wished. The welcome was friendly as was the service, The only criticisms were that the plates were cold so the food cooled very quickly and the temperature in the bar area where we sat was very chilly even when a heater was brought in.
4 of us went for a birthday meal at the Tree where we had been twice before. Mid week, the restaurant was quiet but the decor and lighting made for a nice informal atmosphere. Food is a combination of Indian and English-we had a selection of each and it was all good. The food on the menu is cooked to order and they will do the curries at any strength you want. Not a huge wine menu but some interesting selections. Bill for 4 came to about £145.00 (3 courses). Would definitely recommend this.
Had a lovely meal with a friend at the Tree at Cadmore. I had the fried spiced fish to start, which was a very generous portion for a starter and absolutely delicious cooked to perfection whilst my friend had the equally delicious sesame prawns. For mains we both had steaks again, a generous plate of food well prepared. We were sat out of sight in the corner but weren't forgotten about at all and both the manager and the waitress were very friendly and attentive. It's the best place I've found to eat in High Wycombe. The pub itself is lovely perfect for a drink or for eating. I can't wait to try their Sunday lunch!
The Tree is now officially my favourite pub. The food, service, and ambiance are head and shoulders above other pubs in the area. I highly recommend this venue.
Good ambience. Service a little disorganised. Toptable booking did not work and we had to reschedule. Food excellent and reasonable value
