A friend suggested we try the Gladstone Hotel in Newbridge, which is a bit out of the way but definitely worth the trip. It turned out to be a charming country pub with delicious food, friendly service, and quick wait times. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a fantastic and relaxed dining experience.
This charming pub is located in a beautiful spot. The staff were welcoming, and the draft beer was a delightful treat after a long break from 'real' drinks. The rissoles and mashed potatoes were enjoyed by the cozy fireplace, and this simple meal made the evening even more special. I will definitely return.
For whatever reason, we decided to drive to Newbridge for lunch. Wrong day, there was some sort of Heritage event about the old church, so the place was packed. Two poor serving staff running the bar and taking meal orders were overwhelmed. By the time I ordered a Tooheys new, it was Tooheys Old!. Never mind, rather that wait for a table, we sat outside and had a hamburger each, very tasty and well presented, even after a considerable wait. Next time we will check local events before attending
Went to The Gladstone Hotel for lunch today, its a quite little pub, very relaxing. The food is typical pub fair, but the kitchen knows flavour, they source their produce locally and do everything to order which means a little bit of a wait, but the wait is well worth it. Crumbed lamb cutlets freshly crumbed and cooked to order and you can absolutely tell they are not bought pre crumbed, they were cooked to perfection, spaghetti bolognese was fantastic, as was the home made rissoles, defintely made with love as the description says, and margherita pizza was great. Simple food done very very well, and prices are very reasonable, staff very friendly and helpful, beer cold and fresh, nothing more I could ask for. Great little pub.
We had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant on a peaceful Saturday night. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and the food was both delicious and reasonably priced. The cozy fire added to the ambiance of the nicely decorated dining area. Newbridge is a charming town just a scenic drive away from Bathurst.
