The Quay - Worcester

Bad service, we went during the end of covid, the waiting staff are young and lack enthusiasm in their work.

Beautiful decor and splendid service. I had a turkey, with stuffing and gravy. I didn't have a choice as I was with a group, company dinner for 15 people and the turkey dinner were ordered for all of us. It was well presented, not at all like an school lunch, but like turkey everywhere, rather bland. No fault of Browns. I was told turkey has long since replaced goose as a Christmas dinner. That's too bad. Some Brits at the table had been having it for so long, they did not even realize turkeys had been imported from America! They did take an order for a Negroni but made it with martini instead of Vermouth but that may be the British way, as it was made that way at another Wocester restaurant that way the next night. The drink was the highlight of the meal.

Great views of the river and swans. Terrific starters and main courses for lunch and dinner. Enjoyed the charcuterie board with fresh cheeses and meats particularly stuffed pepadew peppers. The crispy five spice duck was delicious.

Browns is undoubtedly one of the most elegant restaurants I've visited in England. I would give it five stars for the quality of the staff, the food, value for money, and the overall atmosphere. The team was very attentive and made sure to adjust dishes to cater to vegan preferences. While the beer selection could be improved, the cocktails definitely made up for it.

What a lovely spot! It's perfectly located along the river, and my partner and I had the pleasure of visiting two weeks ago on a Saturday. We enjoyed it so much that we've since returned twice with friends. The atmosphere is delightful, and the staff were friendly and incredibly attentive from the moment we arrived. As a vegetarian, I appreciated the variety of options available on the menu. They also have an excellent wine selection, but I must highlight the cocktails—two for £10 on Saturdays is an amazing deal! Having previously worked in Birmingham, I often met friends for drinks at the Browns there, and while I enjoyed it, I believe the staff here could teach them a thing or two. Highly recommended!
