Przekaż informację zwrotnąLet's be honest. We were spoiled when Paul owned The Rainbow. He was a fantastic chef and great at customer service. However, since he sold the restaurant, the quality of the food seemed to decline. The new owners gave the place a much needed facelift, although the new look may be considered unusual. Despite this, the food has improved recently. I tried the Singapore chow mein (without prawns) and it was enjoyable. It may not be as good as when Paul was in charge, but it's still worth a visit. I heard a rumor that Paul was cooking at a Chinese restaurant in Malvern Link, but he was not there when I visited.
This is the third time I have visited Rainbow and by far the best Chinese takeaway in the area. Our local ones are too greasy, slow serving and lack meat but it’s well worth a short trip in the car. Freshly cooked, not greasy, generous portions and speedy service. So tasty . Do Thai dishes too. Will be our local Chinese takeaway from now on. Great choice and value for money. A great find!
I used to be a loyal customer of Rainbow for many years. After a change in ownership last year, the quality declined, but then it seemed to improve. Unfortunately, it has taken another downward turn. The new menu is confusing and you have to create your own dish, unless you want a basic option like fried rice, chow mein, or sweet and sour. When I tried to order chicken and cashew nuts, a favorite from the old menu, I received a dish with bamboo shoots instead of cashews, which was bland and ended up in the trash. I didn't bother to complain and have decided to take my business elsewhere in the future. Very disappointing experience.
So my partner and I really enjoyed our eggs on toast, No this isn’t on the menu, but what we ended up eating after opening the food carton from the Rainbow. We have never experienced such a disappointing takeaway; gloopy, gelatinous, and ferociously hot (one chilli rated) green chicken curry alongside an equally unappetising anaemic, bleached pork sweet and sour dish. It’s barely worth mentioning the fact they failed to include a boiled rice I’d paid for...I will certainly never return, and would urge caution to anyone else, from now on I will be making the journey to the Orient Express despite the travel involved...
I've enjoyed takeaways from the Rainbow takeaway for over 10 years but what on earth is going on. The quality off the food I've had tonight wasn't good at all and I feel badly let down. Time to move on and find somewhere else
